SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT
Environmental awareness meets extraordinary workspace design.
We’re tackling the massive waste problem in the office furniture industry with thoughtful design, responsible operations and a commitment to reduce our environmental footprint at every step.
Carbon Emission Offsets
We offset all shipping emissions for your product’s journey to you—from factory floor to your front door.
Impact
Partnering with Flexport and UPS, we measure carbon emissions from our transit operations and invest in programs to offset our shipping impact. These include emissions capture, renewable energy, low-emission fuels and reforestation.
To date, we’ve offset 2,178 TCO₂e. This is equivalent to the amount of carbon sequestered by 2,121 acres of forest.
Open Box Program
We inspect all returns and give the best of them new life as Open Box products. We recycle the rest.
Impact
We inspect and resell like-new returns, recycle materials like plastic, steel and aluminum, and repurpose unused parts for repairs and replacements.
Through this program, we're proud to have found new homes for thousands of furniture products, keeping them in offices and out of landfills.
Product Donations
When used furniture needs a new purpose, we connect with charity partners to make a difference.
Impact
We've proudly donated over 700 desks, credenzas, and other office pieces to organizations like Good360, Habitat for Humanity and EALGreen.
These donations ensure our products can serve communities in need while supporting our mission to reduce waste.
Tree Planting
Every holiday season, we partner with a non-profit organization and contribute a portion of our sales to planting trees.
Impact
We work with these organizations to foster ecological growth and accelerate carbon sequestration in areas of the world that need them most.
Since 2021, this initiative has led to over 140,000 new trees taking root in vital ecosystems.
Modular Design & Packaging
We engineer our products to reduce packaging dimensions, and use recycled material for packaging wherever possible.
Impact
We design our products and packaging to maximize modularity and minimize volume. Reducing shipped volume lets us fit more into a shipping container and lowers both freight and last-mile emissions.
For core products, our cardboard packaging averages 94% recycled content by weight.

Our commitment to the planet doesn’t stop there.
Our sustainability journey is gaining momentum, and our most exciting initiatives are still ahead. We’re working to better understand and reduce the impact of our products from the moment they’re designed to the day they’re retired.
Up next, we're working on capturing recyclable packaging content for all new product and packaging projects, with the goal of keeping more single-use materials out of landfills. We are also exploring options for FSC-certified product and packaging suppliers, ensuring the wood-based products we make support responsible forestry.
